Middle school is full of difficulties, and you'll do anything you can to keep from being embarrassed, humiliated, or bullied, even if it involves not being yourself. I think that the main question for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and even students in college is figuring out who you are.
John 3:16- "For God so loved the world that he gave he one and only so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." God's one and only son died for our fleshly sins so that we could be forgiven. Think: A man who died for something he never did. Jesus never sinned, but suffered as though he did. When you need help, go to the Bible.
Repent. The definition of that word is to turn away from something and stop doing it. That's what the Bible wants us to do with sin. We will soon be leaving Earth, remember that. Revelations 20 says that Satan, the devil, will be thrown into the bottomless pit. Right now, Satan thinks he's winning the war because, well, all you have to do is check the news. We have a greater reward in heaven that's better than anything money could ever buy you. You want to make the right decision when it comes to following God. Remember, this could be your last opportunity.
Proverbs 24:26: "An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips." I've been thinking, (meditating) on this verse for a long time. This world is filled with lies. When you tell a lie, God hears it, God knows. It hurts him. We are Children of God, yet we lie. Why? Because nobody's perfect. But when you pick up a cookie that your parents told you that you couldn't have and think: It's fine, I can just ask God to forgive me, and eat it, that's not how a relationship with God works. I'll tell you more about that later. Have a good Spring Break!
I have recently posted Romans 1:16, and it talks about not being ashamed of being a believer of Jesus Christ. Don't be ashamed of your faith, share it with others. My church pastor recently gave us the challenge of memorizing this verse, and posting it on Instagram or Facebook. Don't hide your faith. God will give you opportunities to share your testimony if you pray. Be bold. Share Christ.
Easter is coming, and I'm sure you've already bought a ham. But you have to realize that Easter is not all about jelly beans, bunnies, and eggs. It's about Christ rising three days after dying on the cross for our sins. You have to keep your mind on that or you'll get carried away with all of the worldly things. You have a greater prize in heaven, keep your eyes and mind on God.
Jesus is coming soon. Stop playing hide and seek with God because he's about to say, " Ready or not, here I come." If you have a relationship with God, you will be taken to heaven, and if he says," I never knew you," you will burn in hell. If you don't have a relationship with God, you won't be spared.
